Super Eagles forward Samuel Chukwueze could be set for a permanent switch to Fulham F.C. after an impressive loan spell in West London, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.

Reports indicate that the Italian side could demand a fee in the region of €24-26 million to sanction a permanent move to England.

“The club like him and are already exploring the chance to sign Chukwueze because he has shown them he can do more for the team,” the source exclusively told Footy-Africa. “Although he has not played as many games as he wanted, the ones he has played in have been good, and there is promise there already.”

“Milan will not stop him from moving because I believe they need the money. From what I know, they will ask for about €30 million, but the agreed range when he signed the loan deal was about €25 million to make it permanent. Samu wants to stay in England as he likes the Premier League. He has also settled at the club because of the Nigerians there, with Alex Iwobi and Calvin Bassey making him feel at home.”

Five Nigerian stars set for potential summer transfers

“He is also quite a popular figure in the dressing room. Talks are already ongoing and the signs are that he will sign a permanent deal. Yes, a lot can change between now and the end of the season, but as we speak, he is likely to complete a permanent move,” he concluded.

The 26-year-old joined Fulham from AC Milan last summer, trading the San Siro for Craven Cottage in search of regular playing time.

Sources close to footy-africa.com reveal that Fulham are now seriously considering turning the deal into a permanent transfer, with the club’s hierarchy convinced that Chukwueze still has more to offer in the long term.

Currently valued at €15 million by Transfermarkt, the former Villarreal winger has made 19 appearances across all competitions for Fulham, registering three goals and four assists.

However, it is his upturn in form since the turn of the year that has intensified discussions about a full transfer.

Chukwueze will on Tuesday link up with the Nigeria squad for the international friendlies against Iran and Jordan as discussions continue about his future.
