Omar Janneh has attracted fresh interest from Getafe CF as the Spanish side considers a move to bring the young forward back to Spain ahead of next season, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
Apart from Getafe’s growing interest, Udinese Calcio are also believed to be monitoring the youngster closely. The Italian Serie A side is among several clubs keeping tabs on his development following his breakthrough campaign in the Swiss Super League.
The 19-year-old Gambian-Spanish attacker only joined FC Lausanne-Sport from the academy of Atlético Madrid in January for a reported fee of around €2 million, signing a long-term contract that runs until June 2030.
Since making the move to Switzerland, Omar has quickly established himself as one of the club’s brightest young prospects. The teenager enjoyed an impressive second half of the season, scoring eight goals in 18 league appearances for Lausanne-Sport and drawing attention from clubs across Europe with his performances.
