Granada are demanding around €3 million to sell Ghanaian defender Oscar Naasei Oppong, with negotiations ongoing with Real Madrid, sources have told Footy-Africa.
The 21-year-old has emerged as a target for Madrid, who want to sign him permanently and initially place him with Real Madrid Castilla.
According to Transfermarkt, Naasei’s current market value is €1.5 million, but Footy-Africa understands Granada want double that valuation to approve his departure.
The Spanish club are also considering including a future sell-on clause in the agreement to protect their interests if Naasei is later transferred.
Real Madrid are currently ahead of Rayo Vallecano in the race for the defender, who remains under contract with Granada until 2028.
Naasei joined Granada from Ghanaian club Emmanuel City in 2023 and progressed through the club’s youth system before establishing himself in the first team.
He made 37 appearances last season, starting 34 matches, and has already featured in Granada’s opening two games of the new campaign.
The versatile defender can play both centre-back and right-back, with his performances attracting interest from several clubs.
