Gambian forward Karamba Gassama has taken a major step in his professional career after officially signing for Turkish Super League side Gaziantep FK, Footy-Africa understands.
The transfer has been widely celebrated by his camp, particularly his Gambian agent, Saikou Saidy, who described the switch as a “life-changing” move for the young attacker.
“We are pleased. He is going straight to the first team. He is going to play. Coming from the Albanian league to the Turkish Super League is one exciting move for him. He is ready, and this is a landmark transfer for him,” Saidy exclusively told Footy-Africa.

Beyond the sporting challenge, the move also represents a major financial and professional breakthrough for Gassama, whose journey reflects years of persistence and growth.
“Financially, it is a great transfer. We know what it means coming from the Gambian league three years ago and playing in Albania, but he kept his hard work and he arrived here today. So happy for him,” Saidy added.
The youngster joins the club from Albanian outfit Dinamo City FC on a three-and-a-half-year contract, marking one of the most significant transfers of his career to date.
Gassama’s move comes on the back of impressive performances in Albania. During the 2024 season, he featured in 33 matches for Dinamo City, establishing himself as a key figure in the squad. He has already continued that form into the current campaign, making 13 appearances and playing an important role in Dinamo City’s Super Cup triumph last week.
