Ghanaian winger Hakim Sulemana could be heading back to familiar surroundings after talks over a move to Scottish Premiership side St Mirren collapsed, sources have told Footy-Africa.

Footy-Africa understands that the 21-year-old is now in discussions with Danish second-tier club Hillerød Fodbold over a return, with both parties working towards a possible two-year agreement.

Sulemana already knows the club well, having spent the 2025/26 season with Hillerød on loan from Randers FC. He featured 19 times during his spell and found the net twice.

The Danish club were interested in keeping him beyond the loan period and opened negotiations over a permanent transfer. However, an agreement could not be reached, and Hillerød subsequently announced that Sulemana would leave at the end of his temporary spell.

The winger then turned his attention elsewhere and reached an agreement with St Mirren during the summer. The proposed move, however, failed to materialise after negotiations broke down.

That development has opened the door for Hillerød to bring Sulemana back, with fresh talks now taking place between the player’s representatives and the club.

A return would give Sulemana the opportunity to continue his development in an environment he is already familiar with, having spent an entire season at Hillerød.

Sulemana, who is the younger brother of Ghana international Kamaldeen Sulemana, is yet to finalise the terms of his proposed return.

Talks are ongoing, with the remaining details expected to be resolved before the winger can officially rejoin the Danish club.
