Promising Ghanaian winger Kelvin Ansah Frimpong has secured a move to Norwegian Eliteserien side Viking FK, putting pen to paper on a long-term contract that will keep him at the club until 2030.
The 18-year-old attacker joins the Stavanger-based outfit from Ghana’s African Vikins Academy after catching the eye during a trial stint in Norway. His explosive pace, direct attacking style, and technical confidence left a powerful impression on Viking’s technical staff, ultimately convincing the club to offer him a professional deal.
Frimpong’s transfer marks a significant milestone in his young career. After progressing through the ranks at African Vikins Academy, the talented winger now takes his first major step into European football with one of Norway’s established top-flight sides.
Viking sporting director Erik Nevland welcomed the signing and spoke enthusiastically about the potential the Ghanaian brings to the club.
“Kelvin has come in with great energy and shown qualities that we like. He is a player with a lot of speed and offensive drive, and we see exciting development potential in him,” Nevland said.
