Per multiple reports, Mohammed Kudus has made the decision to avoid surgery despite being advised by Tottenham Hotspur’s medical team to undergo the procedure following a fresh hamstring injury.

This latest setback, which follows months of recovery from a previous quad injury, will rule him out for the remainder of the 2025/2026 season.

Tottenham’s specialists, after thorough assessments, recommended surgery as the most effective path to full recovery. However, Kudus has opted to take a less invasive route, choosing to follow a conservative rehabilitation plan instead of going under the knife.

Kudus sounds caution as Ghana brace for tough World Cup group

His decision is reportedly motivated by his concern over the potential length of the recovery process. If he were to undergo surgery, the extended downtime could put his chances of being fully fit in time for the 2026 FIFA World Cup in serious jeopardy.

Kudus, who has been a vital player for the Black Stars in recent years, remains determined to be available for the global tournament. His absence would undoubtedly be a significant blow to Ghana’s ambitions, and the uncertainty surrounding his recovery is a source of concern for both his club and national team coaches.

The midfielder is now set to focus on regaining fitness through rehab, with his progress over the next few months likely to dictate whether he can make a timely return to competitive action and fulfil his World Cup aspirations.
