Gambian international Musa Juwara has been transferred to the reserve team of Pogoń Szczecin, the club has confirmed, citing concerns over his match fitness and overall readiness, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
The development comes after the winger missed the club’s recent league victory against Arka Gdynia. Reports also indicate that Juwara was spotted in Berlin, Germany, during the period of the fixture, further intensifying speculation about his commitment and future at the club.
However, the club has described their decision as due to “fitness and match readiness” reasons. We have contacted the player’s camp on this issue, but until this publication, there has been no response.
Musa Juwara’s move to Sakaryaspor collapses amid push for higher-level transfer
Juwara, who has been hoping to secure a move away from the Polish side, appears to be at a crossroads in his career. Sources close to the player previously suggested that the only concrete offer received during the transfer window came from Turkish second-tier side Sakaryaspor. However, his camp reportedly rejected the proposal, viewing the Turkish Liga 2 outfit as a step down competitively.
Behind the scenes, Pogoń Szczecin are understood to be open to parting ways with the Gambian winger, especially as he is considered one of the higher earners in the squad. The club’s decision to demote him to the reserves may signal a firm stance as they reassess his role within the team.
With tensions mounting and no immediate resolution in sight, Juwara’s future at the club remains highly uncertain. A contract termination or a forced summer exit now appears increasingly possible if a suitable offer does not materialise.
