Gambian youngster Mustapha Nyassi is set to leave Danish giants FC Copenhagen to join Kolding IF on a season-long loan, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
The move is aimed at giving the talented right-back the regular first-team football he needs to continue his development, rather than spending another season playing U19 football or remaining on the bench with FC Copenhagen’s senior side.
FC Copenhagen have therefore agreed to send Nyassi to Kolding IF, where he will have the opportunity to gain valuable senior experience and accumulate consistent first-team minutes. The deal is done and completed.
Nyassi enjoyed an impressive debut campaign in Denmark, helping FC Copenhagen U19 win the domestic double — the U19 league title and league cup.
The Gambian youngster contributed 2 goals and 6 assists during the successful campaign, underlining his attacking qualities and potential.
The loan move to Kolding IF represents the next important step in Nyassi’s development as he looks to make the transition from youth football to senior football in Denmark.
