Gambian defender Tijan Sohna is set to complete a permanent transfer to Serbian SuperLiga side Radnik Surdulica after leaving Bulgarian Premier League club Beroe at the end of his contract, Footy-Africa can exclusively reveal.
The 24-year-old Scorpions left back heads to Serbia following an outstanding campaign in Bulgaria, where he established himself as one of Beroeโs most dependable performers during the 2025/26 season.
Sohna was a key figure in Beroeโs squad, starting 31 of the clubโs 34 league matches and accumulating 2,882 minutes of playing time. His consistency saw him average more than 82 minutes per appearance, underlining his importance to the team throughout the season.
Although primarily recognised for his defensive qualities, the Gambian also made valuable contributions in attack, scoring one goal and providing one assist over the course of the campaign.
Naturally a left-back, Sohna demonstrated his versatility by operating in multiple positions on the left flank whenever required. In addition to his regular role in defence, he was occasionally deployed as a left midfielder and left winger, showcasing his adaptability and tactical discipline.
His performances have now earned him a fresh opportunity in Serbia, where Radnik Surdulica believes he can strengthen the squad ahead of the new SuperLiga season.
According to Transfermarkt, Sohna currently has an estimated market value of โฌ300,000.
