Former Nigerian international Victor Moses is in discussions with Major League Soccer (MLS) outfit New York Red Bulls over a potential move, Footy-Africa can exclusively reveal.
The experienced winger, who is currently a free agent following his departure from English side Luton Town FC at the end of the 2024/25 campaign, is said to be keen on reigniting his career in the United States.
Moses, 34, left Luton last month after a one-season spell that was blighted by injuries, limiting his appearances as the club suffered relegation from the EFL Championship.
The ex-Chelsea and Inter Milan man has since been working on his fitness, with his representatives confirming that several clubs had made inquiries, but the talks with New York Red Bulls have now taken center stage.
Speaking exclusively to Footy-Africa, a source from the player’s agency, ROOF, revealed: “Victor has been training hard all through pre-season, getting himself back to full fitness after last season’s setbacks. We’re currently in discussions with New York Red Bulls, and it’s a move that makes a lot of sense for both sides. He’s motivated, hungry, and ready for a new challenge. He still has a lot to offer at a top level, and MLS provides an exciting opportunity for that. Nothing has been finalized yet, but things are moving in the right direction.”
Moses made 18 appearances and scored one goal for Luton last season. With a career that has seen him feature for top European sides such as Chelsea, Liverpool, Inter Milan, West Ham, and Fenerbahçe, the Nigerian star remains one of the most decorated players of his generation.

Capped 58 times by Nigeria, Moses netted 20 goals and registered three assists for the Super Eagles, helping them win the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations.
His current Transfermarkt valuation stands at around €500,000.
