Following his exit from English League One side Luton Town FC at the 2024/25 campaign, experienced Nigerian star and former international, Victor Moses is currently focused on his next move, with his camp underlining that he’ll be back playing at a top level, Footy Africa exclusively learned.
Moses exited Luton last month following the expiry of his contract, having been there for a campaign. It was also a stint that was largely marred by injuries, limiting him to very minimal appearances, as the club got relegated from the EFL Championship.
Speaking to Footy-Africa, an exclusive source at the 34-year-old’s representing agency ROOF, has revealed that the player is making the best of pre-season, as he works on his fitness, readying himself for his next move in the forthcoming 2025/26 campaign.
“Obviously, he (Moses) didn’t play much last season, largely because of injury concerns, but it’s something he’s working on throughout the pre-season. Without a doubt, he will be back with a top team, as he still has a lot to offer. We’re working to secure his next home, but he’s also not in a rush. He’s experienced enough and knows that sometimes the setbacks are inevitable, but he will be back, he’s not done yet,” the source exclusively told Footy-Africa.
Last campaign, he made 18 appearances for Luton, scoring one goal. Moses has had quite an illustrious career, featuring for some of Europe’s finest clubs, including Liverpool, Chelsea and Inter Milan in Italy. Over the years, he has also played for West Ham, Stoke City, Wigan Athletic, Fenerbahce, Crystal Palace and Spartak Moskva.
Meanwhile, the versatile player, whose current transfermarkt valuation is estimated at €500,000, is regarded as one of the best Nigerian players of his generation. He made 58 caps for the Super Eagles, scoring 20 goals, with three assists in the coveted shirt. He won the 2013 Africa Cup of Nations with Nigeria.
