Antoine Semenyo’s Manchester City chapter has taken off at breathtaking speed, with the Ghanaian forward wasting no time in stamping his authority on Pep Guardiola’s side since arriving in January.
The 26-year-old continued his electric run of form on Wednesday night, delivering both a goal and an assist as City cruised to a convincing 3-0 triumph over Fulham at the Etihad.
Semenyo set the tone midway through the first half, reacting quickest inside the area to bundle home the opener in the 24th minute.
Moments later, he turned provider with a perfectly weighted pass that sent Nico O’Reilly through to finish clinically for City’s second. The hosts wrapped up a dominant first-half showing when Erling Haaland struck just before the interval, ensuring the points were effectively secured by the break.

Since swapping Bournemouth for the blue half of Manchester during the winter window, Semenyo has looked instantly at home in Guardiola’s system. His latest outing marked his eighth goal involvement in City colours, underlining the impact he has made in a short space of time as he continues to grow into one of the club’s most dangerous attacking outlets.
Speaking after the match, the Black Stars forward reflected on how smoothly his transition has gone at the champions, crediting the environment around him for making the adaptation seamless.
“[There’s] no secrets! It’s just being part of a great team, a great environment, the coach has been great and they’ve made it easy for me to settle. It’s all a fairytale right now,” Semenyo said.

The former Bournemouth man also stressed the importance of backing up results, revealing that City were determined to build momentum following their previous outing against Liverpool:
“[It was] very important [to win]. That was the message from when the game was done against Liverpool. Just backing up what we did on the weekend, it was a tough graft and we got the three points, today we did the same thing. I’m happy.”
Semenyo reserved special praise for teenage teammate Nico O’Reilly, whose composure in front of goal turned City’s early pressure into a commanding advantage:
“He [O’Reilly] has got that in the locker. He’s a very technical player. When I slid him in I knew he was going to score.”
Three goals. Three points. 👊

Beyond the three points, the night carried historic significance for the Ghana international. His strike against Fulham took his Premier League tally for the season to 13, making him the first Ghanaian player to reach that milestone in a single top-flight campaign.
It was another landmark moment in what is fast becoming a storybook start to life in Manchester, one that Semenyo, by his own admission, is enjoying every step of the way.
