Nottingham Forest vs Fulham match preview

Nottingham Forest head into the clash against Fulham with just a few matches left to salvage their status in the English top-flight this season. The Tricky Trees are 17th on the standings with 28 points, same as 18th-place West Ham United and must better the Hammers results in the remaining nine games of the league season.

Forest also appointed their fourth permanent manager of the season when Vitor Pereira took over in February.

Fulham, meanwhile, suffered a shock defeat to Southampton in the FA Cup fifth round in their last outing last weekend. However, the Cottagers are 10th on the standings and will need a win to keep their hopes of an European finish alive.

They have won 12 of their 29 league games so far, recording just four draws and have suffered 13 defeats.

Prediction

Fulham have been the better team for most of the season and have enough quality to hurt Nottingham Forest in this clash.

Recent form: Nottingham Forest

Nottingham Forest have been very poor in recent matches and are now winless in their last four matches across all competitions, although they played a 2-2 draw with title hopefuls Manchester City in their last match.

The Tricky Trees are also winless in their last four home matches in all competitions and have only kept two clean sheets in their last six.

Recent form: Fulham

Fulham’s form has dipped in recent outings and they have suffered defeats in their last two matches across all competitions, including the 1-0 defeat to Southampton in last weekend’s FA Cup clash.

The Cottagers have also lost their last two home games and have not kept any clean sheet in their last 14 matches in all competitions.

Player to watch

Alex Iwobi (Fulham)

Iwobi and four other highest earning Nigerian players in the EPL

The Nigerian midfielder Alex Iwobi has scored twice and provided one assist in his last three league matches and will be hoping for another game-winning contribution this time around, especially with his creativity in the middle of the park.
