Confederation of African Football has awarded Morocco a 3-0 victory in the final of the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations after ruling that Senegal forfeited the match, according to the official statement.

The decision was made by CAF’s Appeal Board, which upheld an appeal lodged by the Royal Moroccan Football Federation and overturned an earlier ruling by the Disciplinary Board.

CAF found that Senegal’s conduct during the final fell within breaches of tournament regulations, leading to the match being awarded to Morocco under Article 84. The result is officially recorded as a 3-0 win.

In a separate ruling, Morocco midfielder Ismaël Saibari was found guilty of misconduct. His punishment was reduced to a two-match suspension, with one game suspended, while a previously imposed $100,000 fine was scrapped.

CAF also ruled on several incidents involving Morocco. The national federation was held responsible for the behaviour of ball boys, with a fine reduced to $50,000. A separate $100,000 fine relating to interference near the VAR review area was upheld, while a sanction linked to a laser incident was reduced to $10,000.
