Exciting Nigerian teenager Mubarak Suleiman has signed a contract extension with Czech giants Slavia Prague, committing his long-term future to the club until 2031.
Kelechi Nnorom, CEO of Right2Win Academy and Suleiman’s adviser, told Footy-Africa that Slavia Prague were keen to act swiftly after growing interest in the talented youngster.
“For Suleiman, it is a reward for the hard work he has put in since his promotion to the first team at Slavia Prague. We are extremely proud of him and the progress he has made so far,” Nnorom said. “There was a lot of interest in the player from top clubs in Germany and Belgium, but the club views him as an important part of their future plans and had to give him an extension to ward off any rivals looking to take him away.”
“The interest was significant, so the club had to move quickly to secure his long-term future with them. This new deal is a reward for his efforts, and hopefully it will motivate him to do more, fully establish himself with the team and, hopefully, earn recognition with the Super Eagles too,” he added.
The 19-year-old midfielder has enjoyed a remarkable rise since joining Slavia Prague from Nigeria’s Right2Win Academy during the 2025/26 season, quickly progressing through the club’s system before earning his opportunity with the first team.
Suleiman’s versatility has been one of his biggest strengths. Capable of operating in midfield and on the wings, the youngster has impressed with his technical ability, energy and attacking instincts, attracting interest from several clubs across Europe.

However, Slavia Prague moved quickly to secure his future, handing him a new long-term contract as they look to ward off interest from clubs in some of Europe’s major leagues.
Suleiman has made a promising start to the current campaign, scoring once in four appearances and providing one assist.
Since joining Slavia Prague, he has made 34 appearances across the club’s youth and first-team system, scoring 10 goals and registering four assists.
With his new deal keeping him in Prague until 2031, Suleiman now has the opportunity to continue his development at one of the Czech Republic’s leading clubs and establish himself as an important part of Slavia’s first-team plans.
