Swedish club IF Brommapojkarna are close to finalizing the signing of Nigerian winger Bidemi Amole from Real Sapphire FC, Footy-Africa can exclusively report
The Nigeria U-20 international has been attracting strong interest across Europe, with Italian side Atalanta BC among the clubs keen on securing his signature. Although Atalanta held discussions over a potential transfer, they now appear set to miss out, with Brommapojkarna leading the race.
Speaking to Footy-Africa, Real Sapphire’s Sporting Director Godwin Austin confirmed that the move to Atalanta did not materialize.
“The deal to Atalanta fell through for some reason, but as I mentioned, they weren’t the only club interested. The player is currently in Sweden, and the transfer should be completed within the next 48 hours,” he said.
Amole played a key role in helping Real Sapphire win their first TCC League title last season under coach Daniel Danko Jannakovic. His performances earned him a call-up to the Nigeria U20 team managed by Aliyu Zubair.
The winger was also recently seen training with Djurgårdens IF as he prepares for life in Swedish football.
A move to IF Brommapojkarna would represent another major step in Amole’s development as he continues building his career in Europe.
