Serie A side Bologna FC have reached a pre-agreement with Ghanaian winger Emmanuel Addai ahead of a potential summer move, a source has exclusively told Footy-Africa.
The deal remains subject to final negotiations with Qarabag FK, where Addai is currently under contract. The 23-year-oldβs deal is set to expire in June, placing Bologna in a strong position to secure his signature.
While Addai could leave on a free transfer, Bologna have moved early to fend off interest from several clubs, including Le Havre AC, Rayo Vallecano and Viktoria Plzen.
Sources indicate Bologna may still pay a reduced fee to complete the transfer quickly and avoid late competition, though it is expected to fall below his estimated market value of β¬1.5 million.

Addai joined Qarabag in 2024 and has since made over 80 appearances, contributing 11 goals and six assists. His pace, direct play and versatility across the forward line have made him an attractive option for clubs across Europe.
If the move is completed, Addai would become the latest Ghanaian to make the step into Serie A, with Bologna looking to strengthen their attacking options ahead of next season.
