Babawo Mohammed, Lucky Ezeh‘ manager, in an exclusive interview with Footy-Africa has stated that the decision to join Brno was based on the club’s clear interest and long-term plans for the striker.

Mohammed, said the decision to join Brno was based on the club’s clear interest and long-term plans for the striker.

“Lucky has been performing consistently since he arrived in the Czech Republic almost three years ago and he has continued to improve every season,” Mohammed exclusively told Footy-Africa. “There was interest in him last year, but we felt it was not the right time for him to move. This year was different because he had several options, but Brno stood out.”

“They showed from the beginning that they really wanted him. They understood his qualities, presented a good sporting project and made an offer that worked for everyone involved. He has completed his medicals and is ready to begin this new chapter. We believe he can make a positive impact at the club.”

“I am happy for him because he has worked hard for this opportunity. Now the focus is on settling in quickly and helping his new team achieve its objectives.”

Nigerian forward has completed his medicals ahead of a move to FC Zbrojovka Brno from MFK Karviná with a deal set to be announced on Wednesday.

The 22-year-old striker will arrive at Brno following a productive spell with Karviná, where he established himself as one of the club’s most promising attacking players.

His performances attracted interest from several clubs in both the Czech Republic and Slovakia, but Brno ultimately won the race for his signature.

Ezeh has built a reputation as a direct and energetic forward who is comfortable running at defenders and creating opportunities in the final third.

His pace, movement and ability to operate across the frontline made him a sought-after player during the transfer window.

The Nigerian enjoyed a strong 2025/26 campaign, scoring 11 goals and providing three assists in 37 appearances across all competitions.

He also finished as the top scorer in the Czech MOL Cup, which caught the attention of a few clubs.

His development over the last three years has been closely monitored by his representatives, who believe the move to Brno is another important step in his career.

Ezeh will now look to carry his goalscoring form into the new season as he begins life with FC Zbrojovka Brno.
