Slavia Prague midfielder David Moses could be on the move in January, with French side Monaco emerging as a leading contender for the highly rated Nigerian, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
The 22-year-old caught the eye with his performances for the Czech champions last season and has continued to impress in the current campaign, attracting interest from several clubs across Europe.
A source at the player’s agency confirmed to Footy-Africa that interest in Moses is growing, although the representative played down reports linking him with Italian club AS Roma.
“Moses has been an interesting player for Slavia Prague, and it is no surprise that a few clubs want to take him. The club will not stand in his way as long as both parties agree, even though he is an important part of the team,” the source told Footy-Africa.

Asked about reported interest from Italian giants Roma, the source said there had been no contact from the Serie A side.
“Roma? No, I am not aware of any interest from them, neither have they made an approach for the player. There is nothing from that angle as of today as I speak with you.”
However, the representative confirmed that Monaco have made enquiries about the midfielder and are currently among the leading contenders for his signature.
“I can confirm to you that Monaco have made enquiries, 100 percent, about the player, and they are looking at him. I can confirm Monaco as the front-runners.
“However, there are other clubs interested in him, too, because he is a young player with a lot of talent. He has a running contract with Slavia until 2029 and is focused on that, but in football, anything can happen,” the source added.
Moses joined Slavia Prague from fellow Czech side MFK Karviná in January 2025 after establishing himself as a promising midfield talent. His performances earned him attention from several clubs, but Slavia won the race for his signature.

Since arriving in the capital, the Nigerian has continued to develop into an important figure in midfield, combining energy, technical ability and tactical awareness to strengthen his reputation.
Reports suggest that clubs in Italy and France are monitoring the midfielder, who is reportedly valued at €10 million and remains under contract with Slavia Prague until 2029.
Moses has made eight league appearances this season, providing one assist as Slavia Prague sit top of the table with 28 points from 12 matches.
With his contract running until 2029, Slavia are in a strong position to negotiate should interest in the Nigerian midfielder develop into a formal offer.
