Uganda Premier League champions Vipers SC have taken a significant step towards retaining experienced left-back Derrick Ndahiro after tabling a new two-year contract offer, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.

The 28-year-old defender is keen on extending his stay at Kitende, with negotiations progressing positively between both parties.

Ndahiro joined Vipers ahead of the 2024/25 season and has since established himself as an important member of the squad. During his time at the club, he has featured in 43 matches across the Uganda Premier League, the Uganda Cup, and the CAF Champions League.

His spell at Vipers has been decorated with success, helping the Venoms win two Uganda Premier League titles and one Uganda Cup trophy.

Known for his defensive discipline, work rate, and ability to contribute in attack from the left flank, Ndahiro has become a reliable option for the club as they continue to compete on both domestic and continental fronts.

Securing the defender’s future is expected to be a key part of Vipers’ plans as they prepare for another demanding campaign that includes league, cup, and continental commitments.

Before joining Vipers, Ndahiro had spells with SC Villa, URA FC, and Rwanda’s Police FC, building a wealth of experience that has served him well throughout his career.

With the player eager to commit his future to the club, an agreement is expected to be reached in the coming days, further strengthening Vipers’ squad ahead of the new season.
