Ghanaian defender Emmanuel Ntim is facing a torrid spell of uncertainty regarding his next destination ahead of the forthcoming campaign, following his departure from French League Two side Caen, Footy-Africa has exclusively learned.

The club decided against renewing the 29-year-old’s contract, deeming him surplus to requirements, after an injury-laden spell. Ntim has been unlucky with various injury setbacks, which limited him to just 46 appearances during his entire time there. Last season, he featured just 10 times for the club.

An exclusive source at Supernova Management, who represents the player’s business, has revealed that there haven’t been interest for Ntim, with a number of teams seemingly afraid to make bids due to his injury record.

“At this point, we haven’t recorded any interest for Emmanuel (Ntim), as his previous injuries haven’t helped at all in this situation. Teams are looking at his record, and pulling away, as it would feel like a risk signing him. However, he is patient and working extremely hard to keep fit, as he hopes for a next home. He is a top professional, and accepts the current state, but also knows his time will come, eventually,” the source exclusively intimated to Footy-Africa.

Previously, Ntim featured for French side Valenciennes where he enjoyed 156 appearances across two different spells. The central defender, whose Transfermarkt valuation is estimated at €300,000, also featured for Trelissac, Troyes and Chambly in France.

Meanwhile, at the international stage, Ntim has in the past, featured for the Ghana U17 and U20 teams at the youth levels. However, he has yet to receive a senior national team (Black Stars) summon.
