Algerian side ES Sétif have stepped up their pursuit of Ghanaian forward Abdul Razak Salifu after submitting an opening offer to Dreams FC for the highly-rated striker, according to Africafoot.
The 21-year-old has emerged as one of ES Sétif’s leading transfer targets following a string of impressive displays in the Ghana Premier League, with the club eager to strengthen its attacking options before the start of the new season.
Africafoot reports that ES Sétif have lodged an initial bid worth around €100,000, including performance-related bonuses, as they look to secure Salifu’s signature during the summer transfer window.
However, the proposal has yet to satisfy Dreams FC, who are understood to value the striker more highly and are holding out for an improved offer before considering a sale.
Despite the gap in valuation, negotiations between the two clubs remain ongoing, with ES Sétif optimistic that an agreement can be reached in the coming days.
The Algerian outfit are keen to complete the transfer quickly to avoid competition from rival clubs that could enter the race for the Ghanaian attacker.
Personal terms are not expected to be a major obstacle. Reports suggest ES Sétif have already prepared a four-year contract for Salifu, with the long-term deal ready to be signed if the clubs reach an agreement over the transfer fee.
Salifu has attracted attention with his performances for Dreams FC, where his pace, movement and finishing have established him as one of the most promising young forwards in the Ghanaian top flight.
Should the transfer be completed, the striker would make his first move outside Ghana and become one of ES Sétif’s marquee signings ahead of the 2026-27 campaign as the club looks to strengthen its squad for the new season.
