Turkish side Fenerbahce have stepped up their pursuit of Senegalese forward Ismaila Sarr and could be on the verge of an agreement with Crystal Palace in the coming days.
The Yellow Canaries are keen on strengthening their squad for next season as they look to end Galatasaray’s dominance of the Super Lig, with the Cimbom winning all of the last four league titles.
Their interest also comes from losing the race for Egyptian winger Mohamed Salah to Trabzonspor, while Rafael Leao is on the verge of joining Galatasaray this summer as well, which is another reason they have quickly turned to Sarr as an ideal alternative.

Sarr began his career at French club Metz and also played for the likes of Rennes, Watford and Olympique Marseille, before moving to Crystal Palace in 2024.
Since joining the Eagles, he has developed into one of the most sought after African wingers in the world with his impressive displays. The 28-year-old has scored 33 goals from 92 appearances across all competitions, including 21 last season, which marked the most productive season in his senior career.

He was a key part of the Crystal Palace side that won the FA Cup and Community Shield in 2025 and also finished as the topscorer as the Eagles claimed a first European title, winning the UEFA Conference League title last season.
Potential transfer breakdown
According to Transfermarkt, Sarr has a market value of around €45 million, which ranks him as the second most valuable Senegalese footballer in the world, behind Everton winger Iliman Ndiaye.
Crystal Palace are likely to request for a fee in that region given his importance to the side, and Fenerbahce would have no issue matching the Premier League club’s valuation.
The 28-year-old also earns around €5.3 million annually and would be expected to receive a significant upgrade in pay if he completes a switch to Turkey.
Fenerbahce’s total investment in his signature could exceed €70 million, and that would make the Senegalese forward one of the most valuable additions in Turkish league history.

However, the Super Lig side will face competition from Manchester United for his signature, with the Red Devils also keen on adding Sarr to their squad ahead of next season.
Fenerbahce currently lead the race and once an agreement is struck with Crystal Palace, then Sarr would be expected to move abroad for the next phase of his career.
