Ghanaian midfielder Kwasi Sibo has reached a preliminary agreement with Turkish Super Lig side Gençlerbirliği, Footy-Africa can exclusively report.
The 28-year-old is close to joining the Turkish club after weighing up interest from several sides following his departure from Spanish outfit Real Oviedo.
Sibo has attracted interest from West Ham, Hull City and French side Lorient, while Greek champions PAOK have also been monitoring his situation.
The Ghanaian was also encouraged by his family to consider offers from Saudi Arabia, with a move to the Gulf viewed as an opportunity for greater long-term financial security.

However, Gençlerbirliği have moved ahead of the competition and reached an initial agreement with Sibo, with the club now working to complete the remaining formalities.
Sibo is a free agent after leaving Real Oviedo, where he spent the last two seasons and made 26 league appearances while helping the club secure promotion to LaLiga.
His ball-winning ability, positional discipline and capacity to protect the back four have made him an attractive option for several clubs.
Gençlerbirliği are now in pole position to complete the signing, with Sibo having settled on the Turkish club as his preferred destination.
