Leicester City’s pursuit of Ghanaian youngster Ezekiel Alladoh has hit a dead end, with exclusive sources confirming to Footy-Africa that the proposed transfer from Swedish top-tier outfit Brommapojkarna is now off the table.
The recently relegated English side had made initial contact with Brommapojkarna weeks back, hoping to beat off competition from other admirers such as Crystal Palace and Wolverhampton Wanderers.
For months, scouts from the Premier League and Championship had closely monitored the 19-year-old attacker’s progress, and Leicester were the first to make a formal approach. However, a source close to Alladoh’s agency, S&E, has revealed that talks broke down before progressing to the negotiation stage.
“Leicester made the first move, but discussions didn’t advance as expected. There were differences in valuation and timing, so the deal is off for now. Brommapojkarna remain calm because they anticipate other offers will arrive soon,” the source exclusively told Footy-Africa.
Alladoh, whose Transfermarkt valuation is estimated at €1.2 million, joined Brommapojkarna from Ghanaian side Accra Lions FC and has since been decent in the Allsvenskan, scoring five goals and providing one assist in 251 appearances last season.
Meanwhile, with this fast-growing upward trajectory, Alladoh’s rise to Ghana’s senior national team the Black Stars, seems more of a case of when than if. At the moment, he has yet to complete a cap in the coveted shirt.
