Nigerian midfielder and former Watford player Uche Agbo has joined Israeli club Rishon. Agbo was officially unveiled by the club on Tuesday after completing his move as a free agent.
Footy-Africa understands that the experienced midfielder has signed a two-year contract with Rishon Lezion following successful negotiations between both parties and the completion of his medical examinations.
The move marks another chapter in Agbo’s career, with the 29-year-old bringing considerable European experience to his new club.
Agbo has previously represented several clubs across Europe, including Slovan Bratislava, Watford, Standard Liège, Granada and Braga.
His experience in different leagues and competitions is expected to strengthen Rishon’s midfield options as the club prepares for the challenges ahead.

The Nigerian midfielder began his professional career in Spain before building a career that has taken him across several European footballing destinations. His time at Standard Liège, in particular, saw him establish himself as a combative and versatile presence in midfield.
After spells in England, Spain, Portugal, Belgium and Slovakia, Agbo now begins a new chapter in Israel, where he will look to make an immediate impact for Rishon.
Footy-Africa understands that the agreement runs until 2028, subject to the terms of the completed contract.
Agbo’s arrival also adds another African presence to Israeli football and gives Rishon a player with significant international and European experience at his disposal.
