Glenn Hoddle praises Kudus’s future in Tottenham

Former Tottenham Hotspur head coach Glenn Hoddle has no doubts that Ghanaian midfielder Mohammed Kudus who moved to London in July will bring immediate improvement to the squad.

25-year old player signed a six-year contract with the Spurs leaving West Ham United for a transfer fee of €64 million (£55 million).

“Kudus will excel at Tottenham,” – Ghana legend Kingson

“He’s got such good talent, such quick feet, and you can see his qualities there. The added ingredient for him as a player is consistency. The first year, I thought he was excellent. The second year, they’re telling me he didn’t do so well. But he looks like he’s got a lot of potential,” Hoddle said on TNT Sports.

“Sometimes, I look at dribblers and I like what they do, but can they dribble and play with their head up? That is the key for me. Can he also play with his head up? That’s the next progression for him. And I think if he does, he could be a real asset for Tottenham,” he added.

Kudus joined West Ham at the start of the 2023/2024 season from Ajax and has since played a total of 80 games, scoring 18 goals with 10 assists.

He has previously been linked to moves to English Premier League giants Arsenal, Newcastle, Liverpool and Manchester United, as well as moves to the Saudi Arabia with Al Nassr and Al Ittihad interested, but it’s Tottenham that have won the race.
