Tottenham Hotspur chairman Daniel Levy started direct talks with his Crystal Palace’s colleague Steve Parish over a transfer deal, involving English born and Nigerian attacking midfielder Eberechi Eze, Fabrizio Romano reports.

According to his information, Spurs are willing to offer around £60 million (€69,6 million) that include £55 million fixed fee plus £5 million add-ons to get the deal done.

The 27-year-old Transfermarkt value is estimated at around €60 million.

It’s believed that the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium might be the next destination for Eze as last week he informed Palace’s front office of his desire to move on.

Previously Sky Sports reported that Eze became Tottenham’s transfer target after Spurs’ attacking midfielder James Maddison suffered an anterior cruciate ligament injury.

According to media, Eze’s contract with Crystal Palace includes £68 million (€78,8 million) release clause, that expired last week as Tottenham was initially unwilling to meet the clause.

In 2020 Eze joined Palace from QPR for an initial €17.80 million fee, according to Transfermarkt, and has improved his goal and assists output in each of the past three seasons. Last year he registered 14 goals and 11 assists in 43 games across all domestic competitions.

Eze already took part in the first two games of the season for Palace, helping The Eagles secure a win against Liverpool in the Community Shield game and a draw against Chelsea in a EPL season-opener at Stamford Bridge.
