Mjällby AIF star Abdoulie Manneh is on the brink of completing a record transfer to Greek powerhouse Olympiacos FC, following the successful completion of his mandatory medical examination, Footy-Africa exclusively confirms.
The move, valued at a guaranteed €4.5 million including bonuses, marks the highest transfer fee ever received by the Swedish club.
Manneh, who has been in sensational form this season, currently leads the scoring charts for Mjällby and has played a pivotal role in their campaign. His contributions have helped the club maintain an impressive 8-point lead over second-placed Hammarby with just 9 matches left in the Allsvenskan season.
Manneh set for Olympiacos move after agreement reached with Mjällby AIF
According to the exclusive Footy-Africa’s report, the 24-year-old forward is expected to sign a contract today that will tie him to Olympiacos until 2030.
However, he will remain with Mjällby for the remainder of the season and officially join the Greek side during the January transfer window. Despite interest from Olympiacos to bring him in immediately, Mjällby has stood firm on retaining their star striker until the league concludes.
This landmark transfer not only reflects Manneh’s rising stock in European football but also signals a significant financial and sporting milestone for Mjällby AIF as they push for a historic league finish.
