Ghanaian winger Mohammed Sofo has attracted the attention of German side VfB Stuttgart, according to Africafoot report.

Despite his young age, the 20-year-old player has integrated seamlessly into the New York Red Bulls’ MLS squad since his arrival in September 2024. The young striker is thriving and growing within his team.

This season, the Accra native has already played 24 matches, scoring four goals. In addition to his goals, Sofo is a puncturer, capable of creating danger with every touch. These performances have piqued the interest of VfB Stuttgart.

According to the report, VfB Stuttgart’s sporting director, Christian Gentner, particularly appreciates the young Ghanaian’s profile. He has reportedly contacted the New York Red Bulls management with a €2 million offer.

Sofo dreams of Europe but remains focused on New York Red Bulls success

It is believed that, the MLS club’s board has accepted the offer. The final details to be settled concern the player’s salary.

If this detail were to be resolved, Sofo would finish the season in MLS before joining VfB Stuttgart in January.

According to the Transfermarkt, his market value is estimated at €800,000.
