Real Zaragoza have completed the permanent signing of Ghanaian midfielder Yussif Saidu, after the youngster’s eye-catching start to life in Spain’s Segunda División.

The 20-year-old, who joined from Dansoman XI Wise on loan, has signed a five-year contract keeping him at La Romareda until 2030.

Saidu first linked up with Zaragoza’s youth ranks last season, featuring for Deportivo Aragón before being promoted to the senior side. His assured displays during pre-season quickly earned him a regular place in Víctor Fernández’s squad.

He has made eight league appearances so far this campaign, impressing with his energy, pressing and ability on the ball.

Zaragoza, who are pushing for promotion back to La Liga for the first time since 2013, see Saidu as a key part of their long-term plans.
