Serbian club Radnik Surdulica have placed a €1.5 million price tag on Ghanaian winger Douglas Owusu, as several European clubs circle for his signature, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
According to a source close to the player, Swiss side Young Boys and Norwegian champions Bodo/Glimt have both scouted the 19-year-old and initiated talks, while Ukrainian club FC Metalist 1925 Kharkiv had an initial bid rejected.
The reported valuation would represent a record-breaking transfer for Radnik, surpassing their previous highest sale, the €1.3 million transfer of Igor Zlatanović to Mallorca in 2019.
Radnik are said to be firm on their asking price, viewing Owusu as one of their most valuable assets with significant future potential. The club believes his value could increase further if he continues his impressive form.
Owusu, who joined Radnik from Ghanaian lower-tier side Asekem FC, has made 25 appearances and scored two goals in the 2024/25 Prva Liga season. His current contract runs until 2027, having signed a three-year deal in August 2024.
