Ebrima Singhateh’s rising profile in European football continues to gather momentum, with the 22-year-old Gambian striker emerging as one of the most sought-after players in the Czech Republic ahead of the January winter transfer window, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
Singhateh, who currently plays for MFK Karviná in the Czech Liga, has attracted concrete interest from a diverse list of clubs across Europe and the Middle East. Ukraine’s LNZ Cherkasy and Kolos, Czech sides FK Pardubice and FK Jablonec, UAE-based Khor Fakkan, Israel’s Beitar Jerusalem, Turkey’s Amedspor, and Belgian outfit Beerschot are all pushing to secure his signature.
The timing of this interest is significant. With just six months remaining on his contract at Karviná, the January window presents a crucial opportunity for clubs to negotiate a deal rather than risk losing the striker on a free transfer in the summer. Karviná, therefore, faces a key decision on the future of one of their most promising attacking assets.

Beerschot’s interest is not new. The Belgian club came close to signing Singhateh during the last summer transfer window, but the move collapsed on deadline day. Despite that setback, Beerschot have maintained close tabs on the Gambian forward and remain keen on revisiting negotiations.
On the pitch, Singhateh has continued to justify the growing attention. He has recorded five goal contributions this season, scoring twice and providing three assists for Karviná. His most recent performance underlined his impact, as he found the net in a convincing 3–0 league victory over Bohemians. That display earned him a well-deserved place in the Czech Liga Team of the Week for Round 19.
At just 22, Singhateh combines youthful energy with increasing maturity in his play, making him an attractive option for clubs looking to invest in both immediate quality and long-term potential.
As the January transfer window approaches, all eyes will be on Karviná and on which destination the Gambian striker chooses next in what is shaping up to be a pivotal phase of his career.
