Zambian striker Patson Daka talking exclusively to Footy-Africa has stated that he will assess any possible offers as he enters the final months of his contract at Leicester City.
Daka joined Leicester City in the summer of 2021 from Austrian giants Red Bull Salzburg on a deal running until 30 June 2026.
When asked about his future at the club, Daka said he will assess opportunities at a later stage.
“For me I always just focus on where I am which is Leicester. I am playing and yeah, my contract will finish ofcourse but anything is possible, in football you will never know, so for me right now my focus is to play football,” he exclusively told Footy-Africa.
The 27-year-old also confirmed that, he “will be out of contract for sure”, so he “has to asses every possibility that comes.”
Since moving to Leicester City, Daka has made 143 appearances, scoring 24 goals and providing 16 assists.
Daka is also Leicester City’s record scorer in European competitions, achieving the feat during the club’s 2021–22 UEFA Europa League campaign. He scored four goals against Spartak Moscow in a 4–3 Europa League win on 20 October 2021 and added one more against Legia Warsaw in a 3–1 victory on 25 November 2021 — the fifth goal that set the club record.
