Bulgarian club, Botev Plovdiv, has completed the transfer of Nigerian midfielder, Izuchukwu Okonkwo, from Armenian club, FC Van, for an undisclosed fee, Footy Africa reports.
The highly rated midfielder featured for Armenian club, FC Van, last season with an outstanding record as he featured in 28 games scoring 6 goals with 2 assists, a statistics which kept on top clubs radar in the summer transfer market.
Okonkwo started his football career in Nigeria before moving abroad to join Russian outfit, FDC Vista, where he honed his skills before turning 18-year-old.
After marking 18 years, the box to box midfielder penned his first professional contract with FC Van where he enjoyed quality playing time.
Heading to Botev Plovdiv, Okonkwo lists amongst Nigerian stars in the books of the Bulgarian club.
