Armenian club, FC Van, is at the verge of being stripped of its Nigerian players with a quartet of the players set to join new clubs in the Summer Transfer Window, Footy Africa exclusively confirms.
FC Van who paraded (5) Nigerian players last season in the Armenian Premier League is at the verge of losing its players to clubs in Armenia and in Bulgaria.
18-year-old Nigerian winger, Usman Ajibona, Malik Odeyinka and Striker Olawale Farayola has already inked long term contract with Arminian club, FC Alashkert whilst the duo of Unekwu Emmanuel and Izuchukwu Okonkwo has been signed by Bulgarian club, Botev Plovdiv.
The Nigerian quartet played key roles to the success stories recorded by Armenian club, FC Van, as they secured its place in the Armenian topflight league in view of the new season.
Statically, youngster, Usman Ajibona featured in 11 games with two goals under the belt, Striker, Malik Odeyinka found back of the net once in 10 games.
Winger Olawale Farayola came out top with the player with most assist in FC Van team and in the Armenian Premier League with 11 assists and two goals in 25 league games.
The duo of Izuchukwu Okonkwo and Emmanuel Unekwu who are already in the camp of Bulgarian team, Botev Plovdiv, scored 6 goals with two assist whilst the later featured in 11 games with a goal to his name.
