Victor Boniface’s agent is on his way to Italy for talks with AC Milan as the Italian side have reached an agreement with Bayer Leverkusen for an initial loan move with €30 million buy option clause, according to Fabrizio Romano’s report.

On Wednesday, the clubs reached formal agreement over the 24-year-old transfer and started to prepare official documents. It’s believed that AC Milan and Bayer Leverkusen decided on a loan deal with a non-mandatory €30 million buy option clause.

After that, AC Milan started direct talks with Victor Boniface’s agent over personal terms, the key final step to get the deal done.

Bayer Leverkusen managing director for sport Simon Rolfes have already admitted that a move is under consideration and might be done in the very near future.

“We have three strikers for one position. That’s why we’re in talks about what makes sense, what makes sense for him, what makes sense for us, and whether a move might be the right step. At the moment, it’s still open,” Rolfes told OneFootball.

Before the start of the new campaign, Boniface has largely been used as a substitute in pre-season matches, and Ten Hag’s admission during his pre-match press conference that the forward is “not ready yet to start” has only intensified talks of a possible exit.
