The representative of Ghanaian defender Issaka Seidu in an exclusive interview with Footy-Africa has confirmed that the left-back is on the verge of joining Swedish side IFK Göteborg on loan, although the move has not yet been finalised.
Speaking exclusively to Footy-Africa, the agent has revealed that discussions are progressing well, with personal terms still needing to be agreed before the deal can be completed.
“That is the plan, but nothing is finished yet,” the agent said. “We still need to agree on the personal terms before everything can be completed. The clubs have been in discussions and we’re moving in the right direction, but until the final details are agreed, the transfer is not done.”
Reports indicate that IFK Göteborg are set to take over Seidu’s loan from Danish club FC Nordsjælland, who own the 20-year-old’s contract.
Seidu is understood to have played his final match for Ljungskile on Saturday ahead of the proposed move to the Allsvenskan outfit.

IFK Göteborg have been short of options at left-back this season due to injury problems affecting Noah Tolf, and Seidu is expected to add depth to the position for the remainder of the campaign.
The Ghanaian made 14 appearances during his loan spell at Ljungskile, scoring one goal and providing one assist.
Seidu remains under contract with FC Nordsjælland and is valued at €25,000 by Transfermarkt. Once personal terms are agreed, he is expected to complete the loan switch to IFK Göteborg.
