African giants Al Ahly and Moroccan side MAS Fez are locked in a cross-border tug-of-war to sign ES Zarzis striker Stanley Ogoh, according to Africafoot.
The 21-year-old Nigerian, who has taken the Tunisian Ligue 1 by storm this season, is at the centre of one of the winter window’s most intriguing transfer sagas.
Ogoh only arrived in Tunisia last August, but a return of five goals in his first 13 appearances—including a debut strike against Club Africain—has alerted scouts from the continent’s biggest clubs.
Modern number nine
Born in 2004, Ogoh has earned a reputation as a powerful, mobile centre-forward with a natural instinct for the big occasion.
His journey to the top has been unconventional. Before his breakout year in Tunisia, he spent time in the United Arab Emirates with Dibba Al Fujairah. Primarily featuring for their youth and reserve sides, he credits that stint with refining his tactical discipline and physical robustness.
Since moving to ES Zarzis on a deal until 2027, he has become the focal point of their attack, helping the side compete in the upper half of the Tunisian top flight.

Cairo vs Fez
The race for his signature highlights two different sporting visions:
- Al Ahly: The Egyptian powerhouse view Ogoh as a long-term asset to bolster their perennial hunt for CAF Champions League glory.
- MAS Fez: The Moroccans see the young Nigerian as the cornerstone of their ambitious new project to challenge the established order in the Botola Pro.
With both clubs reportedly in direct contact with the player’s representatives, Zarzis face a major fight to keep their star man beyond the January deadline.
