Gambian winger Alieu Fadera is emerging as one of the hottest prospects in the Italian transfer market this summer, with several clubs across Europe closely monitoring his situation at Como 1907. The 22-year-old, who joined the Serie A side last season, is now the subject of growing interest from both Italian and international clubs looking to bolster their attacking options.

Sources close to the player have exclusively confirmed to Footy-Africa that Lecce, Cagliari, and Pisa have expressed concrete interest in recent weeks. However, while Lecce and Pisa were initially part of the conversation, a potential move to either club is currently not under consideration. Fadera is prioritising consistent playing time and a clear development pathway — key factors that could shape his decision over the coming weeks.

Among the clubs showing more exclusive interest are Sassuolo, AS Roma, FC Bologna, and Scottish Premiership giants Rangers FC. Each of these clubs is understood to view Fadera as a high-upside addition who brings pace, creativity, and versatility to the wing. Rangers, in particular, are keen to reinforce their wide areas, and Fadera’s blend of Serie A experience and youth fits the bill perfectly.

In his debut Serie A campaign with Como, Fadera made 28 appearances, scoring one goal and providing four assists. While those numbers may not leap off the page, his overall influence, tactical discipline, and ability to stretch defences have not gone unnoticed. He has shown flashes of the talent that earned him his move to Italy in the first place.

Despite having a contract that runs until June 2028, the possibility of a move away from Como this summer remains high. The player is understood to be open to a new challenge — particularly one that offers regular starting opportunities and a clearer role in the squad’s offensive plans. Como are reportedly aware of the interest but are in no rush to sell, with Fadera currently valued at €4.5 million.

Should a suitable offer come in, both club and player may be inclined to explore the opportunity. With the transfer window heating up, Alieu Fadera is definitely a name to watch — a young talent on the rise with multiple clubs vying for his signature.
