Spanish side UD Almeria and Danish outfit AC Horsens have both set their sights on Gambia U-17 midfielder Pa Omar Sarjo, who has been making steady progress through the ranks at ESohna Football Academy, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
The two clubs are understood to be closely monitoring the youngster, with Horsens already familiar with the academy’s setup following their recent acquisition of another Gambian prospect, Ismaila Ceesay.
The Danish club is reportedly considering inviting Pa Omar for trials as part of a cautious evaluation process before committing to a permanent move.
However, their interest may face stiff competition from Spain, where Almeria is also exploring the possibility of securing the defender’s signature.
Further adding to the growing attention is reported interest from a major European football ownership group, known for its global network of clubs. This development highlights the increasing value placed on young Gambian players, particularly those who have demonstrated their ability on international platforms.
Pa Omar has represented The Gambia at the U-17 level in both regional and continental competitions, gaining valuable experience and showcasing his qualities.
With his 18th birthday approaching in 2027, discussions about his transition to the professional stage are beginning to take shape, presenting a crucial moment in his career.
