Gambian teenage midfielder Assan Sanyang has officially signed a four-year permanent contract with Norwegian giants Bodø/Glimt, completing his move from Tijan Jaiteh Football Academy.
Speaking exclusively to Footy-Africa about his journey and the significance of the move, Sanyang said:
“It is very special where I come from. It is not normal, so it is a great achievement, and a dream come true.”
The 18-year-old has been one of the standout talents to emerge from TJFA in recent years, and his performances have now earned him a major opportunity with one of Norway’s biggest clubs. And the dream is already becoming a reality.
Sanyang has been included in Bodø/Glimt’s travelling squad to Germany to face FC Bayern Munich in the UEFA Champions League, giving the young Gambian an extraordinary early experience on Europe’s biggest stage.
At just 18, Assan Sanyang is already living a dream that many young footballers can only imagine.
