Aston Villa vs Brentford match preview
Aston Villa bounced back from a disappointing home defeat to Everton by recording an impressive 2-0 win at Newcastle United in their last match. The win at St. James’ Park was also their first at the ground since 2005.
Unai Emery’s men are third on the standings after a very remarkable campaign and are level on points with second-placed Manchester City on 46 and only four behind Arsenal in first place. Villa have won 14 of their first 23 league matches, recording four draws and losing five times so far in the season.

Brentford, meanwhile, have now suffered back to back losses in the league, which has briefly halted their momentum. Keith Andrews men first lost 2-0 to Chelsea, before suffering a shock defeat by the same scoreline to relegation-threatened Nottingham Forest in their last match.
The Bees are eighth on the Premier League standings with 33 points and are only four points behind the Blues in fifth. They have won 10 of their league games so far, recording three draws and losing 10 times as well.
