Nigerian-Dutch forward Ayodele Thomas is set to join German Bundesliga side RB Leipzig from PSV Eindhoven during the January transfer window, Footy-Africa can exclusively report.

Footy-Africa understands that the 18-year-old has agreed terms on a move to Germany, with negotiations between the two clubs now completed.

A source close to the player, Toyosi Afolayan confirmed that a fee in the region of €400,000 has been agreed for the transfer.

Ayodele has only a few months remaining on his current contract at PSV and is believed to have turned down the offer of an extension in order to secure a switch to Leipzig.

Likely, the deal could be completed on Monday of everything goes as planned.

The forward had also attracted interest from clubs in France and Belgium, before settling for Leipzig.

He has scored three goals and provided two assists in 18 appearances in the Dutch second tier so far this season.
