Bournemouth vs Fulham Match Preview

Bournemouth have started the season in great form and are only four points behind Liverpool in first position. Despite losing several key players of the squad that finished ninth last season, they have begun the campaign with three wins, two draws and a single defeat in their first six matches.

The Cherries are also without defeat in the league since the opening day 4-2 defeat to the Premier League champions. They have also recorded impressive results against Tottenham Hotspur and Brighton, with the former coming in a shock win at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Fulham, meanwhile, have also had a decent season so far, but will be looking to bounce back from a disappointing 3-1 defeat to Aston Villa in their last outing. Marco Silva’s mean have eight points and have the equal number of wins, draws and defeats from their six league matches. The Cottagers have been poor on the road this season and are winless in three matches, recording a single draw and two defeats.

The Cherries have not lost at home this season, while they have only suffered defeat in one of their last seven league matches, going back to last season.

Recent Form: Fulham

Fulham are on a pretty decent record and have only lost two of their last 11 matches in all competitions. However, they have a poor away record, with just two wins in their last nine matches on the road in all competitions.

The Cottagers have not kept a clean sheet in any of their last 13 matches on the towd, highlighting the need for defensive improvement.

Player to Watch: Calvin Bassey (Fulham)

Calvin Bassey has developed into an exceptional defender at the Craven Cottage and was rewarded with the club’s player of the season award in the last campaign.

The Nigerian defender is very physical and dominant in duels, and his aerial presence makes him a huge threat from set-pieces.
