Brentford remain in the race to sign Nigerian winger Sani Suleiman after returning with an improved bid for the AS Trenčín forward, sources exclusively told Footy-Africa.
The Premier League club are among several sides tracking the highly rated teenager and have reopened negotiations after an initial offer was rejected in December.
Footy-Africa confirms that the Bees have not given up on their pursuit and submitted an improved proposal in recent days, although it is understood that a number of rival clubs have also increased their bids.
AS Trenčín are expected to make a decision on Suleiman’s future this week, with the player keen to choose what he considers the right next step in his career.

Brentford face strong competition. Tottenham Hotspur and Chelsea have both been linked with the winger, while PSV Eindhoven, Eintracht Frankfurt, Villarreal and AC Milan are also monitoring the situation. Rangers, Middlesbrough and Bayer Leverkusen have likewise been credited with an interest.
Suleiman is under contract at Trenčín until June 2026, with an option to extend the deal by a further two years until 2028. However, barring unforeseen circumstances, the Slovakian club are widely expected to sanction a move in January, with the player likely to step up to a higher-profile league.
The 19-year-old’s form has continued to attract attention. He was recently named among the world’s top under-20 talents by the CIES Football Observatory, ranking sixth globally for completed dribbles and progressive carries across 66 leagues, behind only elite prospects such as Barcelona’s Lamine Yamal.
