Premier League side Chelsea have begun talks to sign Nigeria U-20 national team star Abduljelil Kamaldeen, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.
Footy-Africa earlier reported that Kamaldeen was granted permission by his club, Kwara State Football Academy, to travel to London for trials with the Blues following interest in his services.
Sources have now disclosed to Footy-Africa that the player impressed during his trial, prompting Chelsea to express concrete interest in securing his signature.
Talks over a potential transfer have commenced, with the Blues submitting an official offer for the talented youngster.

Negotiations are still ongoing, and Kwara State Football Academy remain hopeful of reaching an agreement with the Premier League side.
Kamaldeen attracted interest following his impressive performances for Nigeria at the FIFA U-20 World Cup in Chile last year.
West Ham United, Brentford, and Belgian side Anderlecht have also been credited with interest in the player.
