Edrissa Ceesay has signed a four-year contract with Kuwait Pro League club Al Jazeera Football Club as a free agent, marking a significant milestone in his career, Footy-Africa can exclusively confirm.

The club, which is newly established, initially brought Ceesay on board for a short-term deal last season as part of their squad-building process.

His impressive performances during his brief stint left a lasting impact, and the club was quick to reward him with a much more lucrative, long-term offer.

According to Ceesay’s agent, Bakary Bojang, the decision to extend the contract was a result of the player’s remarkable display of talent and work ethic.

“Edrissa was with the club last season on a short contract while they were putting together their squad for the new season,” Bojang explained, talking exclusively to Footy-Africa. “He impressed them so much that they decided to offer him a new and much better deal, one he simply couldn’t turn down.”

The expectations for Ceesay are now high, with Bojang emphasising that the forward is expected to feature regularly in the upcoming season.

“The goal is for Edrissa to play as many games as possible, perform well, and potentially take the next step in his career,” he added. “There’s even the possibility of earning an even better contract with Al Jazeera.”

With a fresh opportunity ahead of him, Ceesay’s long-term commitment to Al Jazeera signals both a new chapter in his career and a bright future for the promising Kuwaiti side.
