Ghanaian international and winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku was the difference-maker as Leicester City grinded out a hard-fought 1-0 victory away to Charlton Athletic on Saturday afternoon at The Valley.
The Ghanaian winger struck decisively in the 58th minute, latching onto a clever through ball from Boubacar Soumare before rifling home with precision past the Charlton goalkeeper Thomas Kaminski.
Fatawu’s composure in front of goal sealed the Foxesโ second win of the campaign and lifted them to seventh place in the Championship table with six points from their opening three games.

With Leicester aiming for a swift return to the Premier League, Fatawuโs sharp eye for goal and relentless energy could prove vital over the long campaign ahead. They take on Birmingham City FC at the King Power Stadium next weekend.
Fatawu has now scored eight goals and assisted 15 times in 59 appearances for The Foxes since his arrival in the 2023/24 campaign.
